Good Morning,
Happy Wednesday! Last week we talked about meeting PAWS expectations in the hallways and during lunch, and we had created goals for ourselves. How are we doing as a class in meeting these goals? Are we getting closer to earning our independence back? Why or why not? Make sure you are using the RAP strategy to explain your answer so that you can earn your EXTRA points!

What strategy did you share, and how did it go? Will you be using the strategy again today? Or will you try a new strategy? If you are choosing a new strategy please share what strategy you will try. Good Morning,
Happy Thursday!! Please remember that from now on, Ms. Furuto will be in charge of hallway and lunch expectations for our classroom, until the class can prove that they can be responsible for themselves, and have integrity to do the right thing even when no adults are asking them to. Identify a time that you find it hard to meet the expectations (example: walking in line, level 0 in the hallway, level 0 at lunch, etc.), and make a plan for what SPECIFICALLY you will do to meet the expectations. DO NOT just say something like: "I will stay at level 0 in the hallway" explain HOW and WHAT strategies you will use to make sure you are a level 0. Have you finished your achieve3000 activities for this week? Write a fraction that represents how many activities you completed this week at 75% or higher out of how many total activities you have completed for this week. Tell whether if your fraction is greater than or less than 1/2. Good Morning,
Happy Friday! It makes me so happy to share another awesome day with you! Did you finish your achieve3000 articles this week? Some students are really great at finishing their articles, and some are not. Please share what ideas you have for making sure that all students complete their weekly achieve3000 articles. Also, find research an influential African American (besides Dr. Martin Luther King) that has made a difference in our world, and share that person in your comments. Read the comments from other students, and try not to repeat any of the influential people that have already been mentioned. Good Morning,
Welcome to this amazing Thursday! I am so glad that you are here!! Remember that February is Black History Month. Why do you think it is important that we celebrate and learn about Black History? Why is is important to have Black History Month? Use your ipod to research this question. Generate your opinion about why this is important, and use your research to support your answer, and don't forget to state where you found this research. Feel free to give more than one detail. Example: In my opinion Black History Month is important because _________________. I know this because in my research I found _______________________. *Research site It's a new month!! WOO HOO!! February is Black History Month. One of the most famous speeches ever given was by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as he was sharing his vision for the future of our country, and of African Americans. How do you think his speech has impacted our country? Do you think his words and his message are still important now? What can we learn even today from the words he shared? Also-- research when Dr. Martin Luther King gave his historic "I Have a Dream" speech. Was this speech given before, or after the end of WWII (Which we are reading about in Number the Stars)? You may work with a partner to research this, you may not ask Ms. Furuto for help. |
