WOW!! I can't believe that the first month of 2017 is about to be over already! Time goes so fast it's unbelievable!!
I am sorry that I wasn't here with you yesterday, I was not feeling well, and I am still a little bit under the weather. A lot of students parents texted me yesterday about them not feeling well either. Please wash your hands frequently today. What was something that went well with the Substitute yesterday? And what is something that could have gone better? Please explain to me what a landform is, and give an example to demonstrate your understanding. Also, please give me a summary of chapter 3 of number the stars since I wasn't here yesterday to read it with you.

Good Morning,
Happy Friday!! Congratulations on a week of hard work! I can't wait to continue our work in book clubs and grow together as readers. Tell me something good about your week this week. If you have time, try replying to someone else's morning message response as well. According to class dojo, everyone has made it to Fun Friday! Congratulations on being able to manage your behavior, and earning 100% positive points this week!!! In order to actually go to Fun Friday, I will need to see that you have completed all reading assignments. Please be ready to show me your Number the Stars and Book Club notebooks. Good Morning,
Happy Thursday!! I am so glad you are here!!!! Remember our goal is to use the RAP strategy and proper punctuation when completing our morning messages. This quarter as a class, we are focusing on our conversations with our partners, groups, and with the whole class. Our goal is to generate and share ideas, and feel comfortable doing so. What have you noticed that is going well with sharing your ideas? And what ideas do you have for us as a class to improve? Library: Roxanne Ronnie Emmanuel Kymora Abdullah Kaitlyn Computers: Yahaira Fatima Alex Aaliyah Daniel Announcements: No AIG Today-- Ms. Sheehan is testing for AIG. Girls on the Run starts next week. Happy Wednesday! Thank you for being here, and for being responsible to complete your morning work!! Yesterday we had 21 comments on our morning blog, this is a huge improvement from the day before, but we are still not at 100% participation. Also, the morning blog is a really great time for you to practice your RAP strategy! I expect your responses to be in complete sentences, have proper punctuation, and include details! This morning, please share with me at least one feature of historical fiction texts that we talked about yesterday, then explain the difference between area and perimeter. You may use you ipods to research if you need to. When you are finished responding to the morning message, you may go out in the hallway to vote for your favorite math art project. Make sure you read the voting directions before you vote :) Library: Diego Aaliyah Daniel Aniya Anthony Joey Computers: Manny Kali Teresa Christian Kaitlyn There will be NO AIG or BOOST groups today. There will be no STARS until February 8th. Helping Hands will be meeting after school today. I will be meeting with the Harry Potter book club today during lunch. Happy Tuesday,
It was great to read about what you all did over track out. I noticed that 13 of you were able to read and respond to our blog yesterday-- which means 9 students did not respond to the blog. I would like to make it our community goal to read and respond to this blog DAILY. Students who are able to do so will earn an "acting responsible" dojo point every day. Students who do not complete the block may be at risk for loosing dojo points. Today tell me something that you missed about school while you were tracked out. Also, tell me what you learned in math yesterday. Library: RJ Alex Silvia George Christian Adjoa Computer: Roxanne Valerie Natalie Anthony Kymora No AIG/BOOST today. If you are in Battle of the Books-- You will be going to the library during specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays. WELCOME BACK!!!! I can't wait to start learning and exploring with you this quarter!!!
Please make sure you unpack all of your belongings. Your book box and your math basket should be nice, neat, and organized. Please make sure you have your ipod, and bring it with you to math. All students are starting quarter three off as responsible members of our community, and I trust they will do so throughout this quarter, being especially careful with their ipods. You may choose a NEW assigned seat. Once we are all together, Ms. Furuto will review where you have chosen to sit. Ms. Furuto must agree that the spot you have chosen is a responsible choice, if she disagrees, she will choose a new spot for you. Once you are unpacked, and you have selected a new spot-- please comment below and tell me as much as you can about your trackout, especially if you did some traveling. I would also love to hear about any books that you might have read while you were on your break. If you have extra time, you may comment on someone else's post. Library today: Valerie Kali Yahaira Natalie Teresa Fatima Anderson Computers today: Aniya RJ Silvia Joey Diego There will be NO AIG or BOOST today due to AIG testing. |
